  1. French, obviously. This IS Canada. Having French as a second (or third) language will undoubtably give you an edge in your career.

  2. Isn't french harder to learn?

  3. 10:06 here: I don't know, I haven't tried to learn Spanish. I guess French is pretty sticky when it comes to grammar - but once you get into it, its not so bad. Where are you from? Most people I know took it throughout school...

  7. Oh cool! Yeah, ultimately it's up to you, but if you're staying here (which I'm assuming), learn French, its more useful overall.

  10. I have taken both so I would recommend either.. but I took French first so I tend to mix up French and Spanish at times because they are sometwhat similar

  11. 12:06 - not true at all. 151 and 152, the beginner french courses, are fine to start with. they're very easy.

  12. Take Spanish. Seriously. This is coming from someone who has studied five languages.

Spanish is much easier to learn than French, it sounds prettier, and you can use it in many more places than you can use French.

  13. I speak French, English, Spanish, and German. I think it's your duty as a Canadian to learn functional French, but I wouldn't recommend taking it at school. Spanish is much easier and more useful internationally. Study German if you want to work in Europe (outside of Spain).
