WTF: I think an employer I applied to is discriminating against males in their interview selection... Is there anything I can do?

    I've wondered this myself while trying to apply for jobs. There must be someone at Tatham Centre or with the University that can deal with grievences like this. Is there any way you can prove it?

    Definitely go to TC or maybe find someone in Needles Hall to direct you to the right places?

    I actually hear a lot about employers discriminating against minorities and/or students that have non-Western names.

    sadly they do discriminate...and there is no way to proove it really.

    10:34, there are also plenty of companies that go out of their way to hire women and minorities. Being a white male isn't all it's chalked up to be these days.

    If you want a government job and you're a white male you're pretty much fucked.

    It goes the other way in the private sector a lot of the time though, so it's probably equal in the end.

    except it's not equal in the end - pretty sure white men are still pulling a large lead. How many of the TOP gov't/private sector positions aren't filled by white men? Not many
