WTF: Hey LS seminar guy who basically said that men just like to get off and women need to feel emotionally attached to have sex: it was a terribly sexist comment, and also you clearly need to get laid.

  1. I don't know how he phrased it but it sounds kinda common sense to me.. fairly typical

  3. Evolutionary he probably has it right but I can see this old-fashioned view really changing. There are plenty of women who just want to get off, and plenty of men who want to have an emotional connection before sex. It's not entirely commonplace yet but it is changing!

  4. Hahaha, What seminar Prof and time? I see where they could be coming from with that comment, but the third comment also nailed it on the head. I think it is changing and both sides have the urge for both sexual gratification and emotional support and reassurance.

  6. From an evolutionary stand point he's incorrect. Women are just as likely as men to cheat, but biological motivation for cheating are different than men. The seminar guys is just spouting pseudo-science nonsense.

  7. What the guy said was (IMHO) something that is at best somewhat true in some situations. So, a big generalization that is rarely completely correct.

I mainly wanted to comment so I could point out to @2:50pm that they are using a sub-human level of communication skills to make their big bad scary threat. I suspect that particular individual suffers from the unfortunate condition referred to as "shrunken nut sack".

Oooh you're going to report them?! AND SUE THEM 2 (sic)!! Oh my, I hope *I* don't end up on your bad side!

  8. who said anything about cheating 3:16?

It's true, evolutionary, as men have the ability to make many more children in their lifetime than women (especially with the gestation period humans have). But now we need to rely less and less on nature, so it would make sense over a lonnng length of time we start to phase out certain instinctual tendencies.

  9. ^the length of time you speak of is thousands of years, such fundamental changes in human instinct aren't going to take place over one or two generations.
What 3:16 said is correct, but most of you guys are just talking shit.
