WTF: What's with people on campus? I actually made some eye contact with someone while walking after lecture and I gave a friendly smile and they returned with a "you're a creep" look. Is my school really filled with an unfriendly amd apathetic student body?

    Yes.

    I am reminded of that episode of Curb Your Enthusiasm in which Larry David is all like "I almost gave him the benefit of the doubt...but then a voice in my head said 'No, don't do it...it's not for you.'."

    Yeah, it's sad that people pretty much have to either stare at the ground or if you actually make eye contact, have to cover it up by pretending to look PAST the person. Not always though.

    Whatever.

    i find it awkward and rude to stare at people and be stared at when walking around, so i give people that same courtesy of keeping my eyes looking straight ahead.

    thing is, most people on campus ARE creeps. can you blame a girl for not returning a smile? next thing i know you're standing outside of every one of my classes. i think it's the combo of overcrowding, stress and diverse cultures. everyone's potentially fucked up.
