WTF: so what...expired IDs are accepted ID @ Bomber? doorman keeps sayin "renew that" - I would if there wasn't a strike, dumbshits.

  1. Doesn't the strike only affect testing? and not renewal processing, which is administered by MTO and not the Drive Test center

  2. OPs ID might need a test to become totally valid again. I have a G1 that is now expired and I can't reapply due to the strike. I feel ya OP, I'm getting the same response everywhere :\

  3. Yea, my test was scheduled for like the day after the strike began and expires in a couple weeks.

They're still perfectly valid for driving, but not for "ID" purposes it seems (I dunno about if I have the "valid as photo id only" sticker on it though)... =\

  4. Expired IDs are not valid for driving, but are valid as photo ID, IF they have the "photo id only" sticker on them, AND you provide the temporary paper license the drivetest centre gives you when you upgrade.

Since the drivetest centre is on strike, I would imagine that most bars would let you in if you explained it. The bouncer would be a total douche if he didn't.

And some bars/bouncers don't check/care about the expiry date anyways.

  5. You can go to the license renewal office and pay I think it's between $40-100 to renew the G1....I had to a few years ago and am not sure how much it would have gone up in that time.
