WTF: Took me 3 hours to get from campus to my house in Cambridge on the bus tonight. Plus my bus was 20 minutes late. Commuting on the bus is such a pain in the ass. Fuck you, winter. Fuck you, GRT.

    Find a place in K-W. Used to live in Cambridge till Oct, took an hour and a half daily (minus the walk to my house), so i can imagine what it must be like in the winter. Plus sitting on the bus for an hour and a half is just depressing.

    I live a 5 min drive from campus and it still takes me an hour. GRT blows.

    cars are silly, public transit is the way to go. Stop polluting the air i breathe cause of slight convenience for you. Plus cars are horrible investment.

    that being said, public transit in KW is massively lacking.

    9:46, as if it were that easy to buy a car, maybe for some. OP, did that too once, lived in Cam just bc it was saving me more money in the long run but i found another place near uw that ended up much cheaper. it's not really worth it in the end if you've to be travelling for that long everyday

    Yeah, me too. I took the IXpress in everyday from Cambridge for the longest time, finally got frustrated, and just decided to spend the extra money and drive.

    i waited 30 min for the ixpress at uw, only to have the bus fill up with people who got there well after i did before i could get on, couldnt get on the bus, and had to wait another 45 minutes for the next bus. then a 2.5hr trip to cambridge... i aint complaining about grt and weather, my beef if that the countdown signs grt uses at the bus stops are terrible, the next bus was coming in 10 minutes for half an hour! i didnt want to go inside to warm up for 10 minutes incase i missed the bus because those signs are so terribly incorrect...

    The signs are only accurate if there's no tilde in front of the time. That means it's a scheduled time and not one calculated through the bus's GPS.

    744: Then I don't know. It's supposed to readjust. Either that or that particular trip didn't happen.

    I don't get the bit about the tilde.. That's what the symbol's called.. Would you rather "squiggly thing"?
