WTF: A piece of advice to anyone going for their first co-op term this January: always be nice to the secretaries. They're the ones who have to fix your memos and time sheets, and they know where the office supplies are. Always offer to get them coffee if you go out on break. When you eventually mess up, they're the ones who'll help you fix it.

    This is true in almost any job situation when secretaries are around. Even grad school. The secretaries are the ones that get shit done. The profs/bosses might sign the forms and grant the approval, but it's the secretary the organizes and keeps track of the paper trail.

    well maybe for you suckas but i'm working in a lab, no secretaries, just a supervisor... god i love being a scientist
