WTF: Am I shallow for not wanting to date a girl who's a little overweight?

  1. You can't help it if you're not attracted to her. It's not a big deal, she'll find someone else to occupy her time when she realizes she's not going anywhere with you (assuming she wants you).

  2. I think a little weight is fine with me - as long as she's got a pretty face. After all the pelvic motion exercises we'll be having, she'll burn that fat off no problem.

  3. a little cubby is okay, as long as she's easy

    in general though fat=no way

  4. define "a little overweight"?
i agree with #1, people who think that looks don't matter are clearly living in a dream world.
that said, if she is less than 150 pounds... YOU have issues.

  5. i'm more than 150 pounds, yet i still get guys trying to constantly get in my pants, you don't have to be easy to get some, and the guys i've gotten are hot too, and sober

    I hear you!

All you need are sexy curves and know how to flaunt them in a classy way. It also pays to be more than just a pretty face... you get more respect that way.

  8. i flaunt, and its always good that i know i can wear a dress that hugs me just right rather than hang on me like a coat hanger

  9. You don't need to be overweight to find clothes that fit. I'm 105 lbs and my clothes fit me perfectly.

  10. ...I find it funny when I hear guys saying stuff like "I only date size 2" or "I only date girls that weight less than 150 pounds"..mostly because it makes it pretty obvious they've never been with a real girl or they wouldn't be able to make such generalizations...
A size 2 means completely different things for a girl who is 5'0 and a girl who is 5'7. Same goes for 150 pounds...but you wouldn't know that till you get with one right ;)

  11. If I'm less than 150 pounds, is it socially acceptable for me to only look for girls under 150?

  12. true, but i guess the average girl is 5'4"-5'6", so i guess a very general 150 lb limit is fine.

  13. a better measure might be waist size....

also, 150 lbs can vary person to person depending on height and muscle mass, but a size 2 is a size 2 (although it might vary some store to store). If someone 5'0 tries on a piece of size 2 clothing and it fits well, and then a 5'7 person tries on the same clothing it will at least probably be too short (assuming their dimensions are the same). The article of clothing doesn't change.

the 5'7 would either have to go for a "long" size if available or increase the size. Or get it tailored I suppose if there is enough seam allowance...

  14. i'm taller than 5'7" and wear size 2s fine.

  15. A little bit overweight? Depends on what a little is. But then again it's not really up to you who you find attractive. If you don't have the attraction part I doubt a relationship would really go anywhere. So, no, I wouldn't say that's shallow at all.

However, if you refuse to be associated with them because they're overweight, then yes. That's pretty shallow. My friends aren't necessarily the kind of person I'd date, but I wouldn't stop talking to them based on what they looked like.

  16. Anonymous @ 7:58 you completely missed my point. i meant any piece of clothing that fit someone 5'0 perfectly, length and width, would probably not fit someone 5'7, at least in length. length varies a lot store to store.

  17. No, you're not shallow if you're not attracted to her, people have differing ideas of what's attractive and that's fine. The problem comes into play if you're ugly and still expect stereotypically hot girls to want you.

  18. OP There is A LOT more to dating someone than a few pounds and what they look like. You will find that out when you grow up a little ;). ( No I am probably not over 150 pounds. I have no clue what I weigh exactly, but being healthy is the most important attribute in a partner and for yourself). You may just find a girl 5 pounds above your threshold weight that is just lovely!
