WTF: What's up with ppl showing up for class just to chat and play on their iphones? STFU or GTFO.

    omg some girl in my SMF class was literally on her phone the WHOLE time just scrolling down through her messages... and why did you bother coming?

    If it was at the SMF 205 night class, that was me :)

    It's human sexuality; what notes do you really need to take? All the better if the profs are enthusiastic lecturers. Then you can text and/or listen.

    I tend to either listen to the profs if they're saying something relevant, or tune them out if it's boring, repetitive or relatively unimportant.

    It's not a problem unless it's so crowded people have to sit on the stairs. Go home and play your stupid games so others can sit at a desk and actually take notes.

    op here, the class was biol 373 (7-10 mondays). Personally i'm fine if they don't cause any distractions, but those kids were chatting and laughing while playing some iphone app. I mean what is the bloody point of showing up without any lecture notes, then socializing with their friends for the whole class? I thought people'd know better because it's a 3rd yr course but apparently not.

    Yeah that's pretty bad; I thought that only happened in 1st or 2nd year 3 hour arts lectures.

    I'd expect better from science
