WTF: Someone should set up some sort of website/event for single waterloo students to meet other single waterloo students... or really just have some way of telling what girls are "taken", so that you don't get your hopes up only to find out a few weeks later shes got a boyfriend... I could always ask but thats just not something you can easily bring up in conversation

    I DO wish there was some way of knowing if someone is in a relationship without having to ask them, it just makes the situation awkward

    and no one asks purely out of curiosity, maybe out of curiosity of if you're going to hook up or not

    Uhm...I tend to make friends with people I connect with, single or not.

    Whether or not a relationship comes after that will depend on alot more factors than just 1st impression attractiveness, which is what you seem to be going off of [seeing them, expecting to take them out, and feeling disappointed after you find out they have a BF]
