It's because you are into well dressed guys with really good hygiene. They're not exactly beautiful, but they present themselves very well. Some gay guys think that I'm gay because of this (and also because my gaydar is horrible and I can be too friendly), and I wouldn't be surprised if some girls have thought I was gay in the past because of this.
op here, yeah i'm into guys that present themselves well.. But not just that; a few days ago i went to a make up store & there was a gay guy workin there who had make up on. He was beautiful! I wasn't into him, but he just looked very pretty. I would totally date a guy who took care of how he looked.. Doesnt exactly have to put make up on. And all the handsome guys who replied to this, leave a pic! :)
i totally agree with OP. north american guys are too paranoid about appearing gay, so they go the opposite and equate rough, macho, scruffy with being "manly". i don't like weak, wussy guys, but i LOVE guys who take care of themselves and care about their appearance. it's the 21st century, girls are not the only ones who should be caring.
caring about your appearance doesn't mean you gotta look like a woman though ladies.
being a pretty boy isn't a look most people like. if the dude happens to be in a particular style you don't like or are into (aka expecting some bullshit mall shopping typical shit ie. the male equivalent of TNA/Aritzia, ugg females) you write the guy off. Half the guys you see are on campus or some shit too; a lot of them couldn't care less about how they look on campus but clean up better than those pretty boys you appreciate. If they have the confidence to dress regularly but still take care of themselves, that's a lot better than some insecure dude who acts more feminine than his girlfriend.
Men should brush their teeth and floss, groom their facial hair, and keep their nails short and clean. That's about all the daily grooming they need. Men that spend more time in front of the mirror than I do are questionable.
What are you talking about? I'm straight and I'm absolutely gorgeous.
