WTF: Sometimes it's kind of fun when I don't know the answer to an exam question. It gives me license to be random. CS 251 Question: Why can't the lines Summ4 and Summ5 be merged? A: Because then religious fundamentalists would call it an abomination against God and stone them to death. "Jesus hates statements that branch and decrement! He says so in the bible!"

    since if we tried to branch on line 4 it would end up branching on $33(?) = 1, instead of = 0

    atleast thats what i thought

    As a student I always thought things like that were pretty funny. As a TA I just shrug my shoulders and mark it down as zero. Better luck next time!

    ive seen friends get pity marks for funny answers...but the key here is funny. I think a more religion-neutral response would hit a better note with the TA. I don't think anyone appreciates hearing their beliefs poked at!
