WTF: I was so naive to think in first year that cheating doesn't go on in University...

  1. My question is, what do you do when you see it happening? Like I know it depends on the situation, online quiz, or final exam, etc. and if you know the person.

Personally, if it's something minor like an assignment worth 1% I don't do anything, besides, they are only screwing themselves for the final. But Ive been in a final with cheating happening left and right, and I pretty much told them to stfu out loud to make my point clear and to embarrass their cheating asses. haha

  2. ^ Wow.
Who really cares if they cheat. Worry about yourself.

  3. Yeah, I don't complain. Just this semester I've seen an insane amount of cheating going on during finals. Outright whispering, blatant looking off papers...I'm pretty sure one guy even had answers written on the inside of his bottle's label, because he kept looking at it and rotating it at one point while staring deeply into it.

  5. Damn. I heard outright cheating in a final this semester too. Didn't say anything though. Proctors should be looking out for it. :(

  6. 4:27- it does matter, because those are the people who are taking up space in professional schools later on, the space that belongs to someone actually competent.

  7. Definitely a good point. The more people who hold advanced schooling degrees, the more it becomes mandatory to have them in society. The required schooling level now is ridiculous. If you don't go into manual labour or start a business, you often need a degree and now often at least a masters. How long is it until everyone will need a PhD?

  8. ^ rather off-topic, but I agree completely with your point. And in many many cases, the degree doesn't actually prepare you for the job anyways.

  9. I think I already need the PhD in order to prove myself to various dumbasses.
