    I only hate christmas because i can't afford to give people gifts and when i recive gifts from my parents it makes me depressed since i know we can't afford it..

    but the time of year is nice

    I find christmas depressing and bullshit. It's just consumerism at it's finest, and there's just a false, commercially forced, sense of joyful spirit present in the air. Commercial bullshit does not equal joy.

    2. time off work/school
    3. getting loaded
    4. celebration

    Honestly, this time of the year is fucking terrible.

    I mean, seriously. What is there to look forward to?

    1. Family time? Fuck that noise, I'd rather not see them
    2. Time off work.... at the expense of my holiday hours? Time off school... I think they'd give us that after exams no matter what the session. People who don't celebrate Christmas aren't forced to go back
    3. If you need Christmas as an excuse to get loaded... well I don't know what to say to that. If you want to get loaded just open a dozen beer, who the fuck cares what time of year it is
    4. I just said. "I hate Christmas" so... how is celebrating it gonna be a good thing?

    Honestly, there is nothing good about Christmas. And all you fake stupid smiler out there are just retarded.
    If you need a god damn jingle on the radio, and some fat hobo in a suit to make you feel good; then I truely feel sorry for you.
    How about instead of trying to find reasons to be happy, just be happy.
    Instead of finding reasons to be with people you love, just go do it.

    Fuck the fact that "But it's Christmas!!" Do shit you want to do. On your schedual, not some bullshit time of year.

    ^ You know, that's great you have an opinion and all, but some people actually have families they *want* to see and be with. If you don't like it, fine, but to call people stupid for it, is very poor judgment on your behalf.

    It's a festive time of the year, regardless if you even celebrate Christmas. I don't - but I enjoy the atmosphere when I visit relatives that do.

    I mean I am an agnostic and this time of year has never been a religious thing for me... but the thing is it is supposed to be about family... I see people running around days before the holidays like maniacs and everyone is stressed... I think that the whole point of the holiday is entirely skewed...
