I really really want to make some true friends here in my university...But after two months of school, I have to ask myself: Am I not good enough to be friends with? FML
I know what u mean. But i'm in 2nd year andiI still haven't made any friends. Don't worry, you're still in 1st yr and have more hope, don't end up like me.
In my experience, you're still growing up and changing and finding who you're comfortable being during your first and second years of university. Throughtout that process, people will come in and out of your life, until you discover the person you are and the people you want to be surrounded by. I made my closest friends in my third and last year now being at UW (I still have some I made from first and second, too), and they're definitely not people I would've made friends with back then until I was finally mature and confident enough. Point is, don't stress, be yourself, and you'll attract/be attracted to the right friends for you. :)
I'm a first year too and I feel the same way. Sure I have people I hang out with on my floor but I feel like I wouldn't necessarily be friends with them if we didn't live together, I just haven't met anybody that I've really got on with great yet, I'm hoping it'll just come in time!
3 years over here too. i have social friends. i just don't have real, true friends. you know, the kind that are good, kind, honest, and there for you, support you.
I'm in second year and the only friends I really have are the ones I brought with me from high school. I'm hoping it'll work out for all of us though. :)
Aw. Don't worry. Making new friends in a new place can be hard. You'll meet the right people eventually.
ReplyDeleteThis post made me sad! It is hard, and you'll find them!
