  2. why do you care so much about who the mods are? that jesse probably messaged mod and paid to market himself here.

  3. well, i know won't be voting for this guy.

  4. Im not Jesse, but I can GUARANTEE that he has nothing to do with the banner, though it's awesome.

  5. ^ me too to post 7.45 wont be voting for this guy

  6. Yeah, I usually don't vote, but due to this guy campaigning on this website, I'm gonna go out of my way to vote for someone else.

  7. that banner's annoying. i wasn't gonna vote, but i think i'll log in to vote for someone else too.

  10. Mods were discussing the election and agreed that Jesse van Amerom is the person we would most like to have elected, so we posted an endorsement. Nobody paid us anything. It's good that everyone is getting into the election this term and we wish the best of luck to all candidates.

  12. Well if you all aren't voting for Jesse, do the rest of us a favour and DONT vote for Allan when you do vote.

Allan is THE WORST PRES FEDS HAS EVER HAD.

  13. I know both Jesse and Allan. I think they are both nice guys. I am just going to side with the mods on this one, Jesse gets my vote.

  14. Myself, and a bunch of people I know get a weird vibe around Allan. He seems like he's a bit twisted and kind of a snake, I could be wrong though, but he's a very smart guy regardless of his personal flaws.

  15. Yep, weird vibe from Babor.
Jesse's not even going to be at UW for a full presidential term. I don't even know why he's running.
Either Brad or Colphon would be a good choice.
I like Brad's campaign/platform the best, so far.

  16. has anybody had any good personal experiences with any of the candidates?

    ReplyDelete
  17. Colphon is a WONDERFUL man.

  18. feds pres is a full time job
that's why Jesse is running for presidency after his schooling
people like allan interrupt their studies to do feds presidency
and colphon and moggach would have to do the same if they got presidency

  19. Saying you're not going to vote for someone based on a banner placed by the people who made this site is the same as saying you're not going to vote for someone based on a button someone had on their shirt.
    It's a silly basis.
Start looking at platforms instead of making weak desicions that have nothing to do with personal choices made by the candidate.
YOu should vote for someone based on whether you think they are best for the job. Not based on whether your friend got too drunk at the bar and needed to get kicked out.
I have had good personal experience with two of the candidates but it's not about what they are like in my personal life that would motivate me to vote for them. It's what they intend to do with their position should they get it.

  20. Yes, I too see the similarities between Jesse and The Terminator. Your argument has won me over.

  21. 1 12 can't handle getting it back.

    1 07 -i died laughing

  22. Jesse has gotten a lot of slack in the campaign because he's been a dick to a lot of people in the past. This is an example of practical karma. What a way to end your university career...essentially get everyone you've been a dick to in the past to vote against you in the campaign which determines your entire future basically (philosophy major isn't going to find another opportunity like FedS unless they pursue more schooling)

  23. LOL 2:31 is the same guy who posted 1:07

  24. 231 here--im not actually. i just found it amusing

  25. knowing jesse from bombers... no.

    ReplyDelete
  26. 12:13, I wouldn't put it past any "politician" to say what they think sounds professional to get into office.. knowledge from anyone who personal knows these people is a plus.

    ReplyDelete
  27. I've worked with Jesse in Bombers too. He's lazy.

    ReplyDelete
  28. Heaps of people call it bombers

    ReplyDelete
  29. His credentials really aren't anything compared to the rest of the presidential candidates.

From security guard to President? Really? The world doesn't work that way. Security guards are security guards because they are brainless meatheads that follow a distinct set of rules, and anyone that violates those rules are not to be welcomed in the bar. Probably the most simple job if you're a bit larger than the average man.

  30. 2:28, You had no clue.

  31. I would just like to say that voting for someone based on some little biases you have on them is ridiculous. I am not saying I will vote for Jesse. But something like the fact that he is a bouncer and throws people out of the Bomber is not going to dissuade me. Ps- If he is throwing people out, essentially he is doing his job. Therefore, if he does his job as the president, we are set.
PPS- I think that Jesse is perhaps the hottest person I have ever seen in my life, and that is not swaying my opinion on voting for him.
This is politics, not some pageant. We are electing a president, not Miss Canada 2010.

    ReplyDelete
  32. ^ i looked at his credentials, nothing wrong with being a bouncer, but if that's essentially one of the few things that stand out from his resume, then yeah i think it's a good reason not to vote for him.

    ReplyDelete
  33. to 1037 - if you sit by the bomber side door and look at the ppl they throw out i'd say a good majority of them arent drunk at all. at bomber they throw out all the random ppl trying to have a good time, yet all the drunkass boucner's friends get to stay in and do anything they want. that is not called doing his job. its not hard to imagine him doing the same thing as president

i definately don't want someone who favours only their friends as president

    ReplyDelete
  34. i've never come accross anyone who doesn't favour their friends. seems like a pretty poor argument.

    ReplyDelete
  35. he seems to be doing just fine with the moustache so i don't think your argument stands up 5:39.

regaurdless, people need to let their personal biases go. I've talked to people who aren't his biggest fan and they begrudgingly agreed that he has a good campaign and he's doing well in his debates. just forget about the fact that you hate him and figure out if he'd do the best job.
